Edward Bosler, PhD

Dr. Bosler has his Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in Biology from Juniata College, and his Masters and Doctorate in Entomology from Rutgers University. He is the very person who collected the infected ticks from Shelter Island that were sent to Dr. Burgdorfer, in which Willy discovered the new pathogen. Without Ed. there would have been no discovery! He is an unsung hero!

Ed started his career as Senior Research Scientist, Medical Entomology, NY State Department of Health and was promoted to Sr. Research Scientist, Associate Professor, Div. of Infectious Diseases, Dept Medicine, Stony Brook University, NY Div. of Infectious Diseases, Dept Medicine, Stony Brook University.

On a personal note, Ed is one of the funniest, kindest, and nicest people alive and fit perfectly with the other Board members.
